DR. NANCY MILLER
Nancy Miller is a licensed psychologist who has been working in the behavioral health field for close to three decades. She was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Temple University. She went on to receive both a M.S. in Counseling Psychology and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. She has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient therapy settings, college counseling centers, county and state prisons, and in-home services. She has an interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She works with individuals struggling with a variety of concerns, including mood disorders, executive functioning skills deficits/ADHD, social skill deficits, behavioral issues, family conflict, life transitions, and forensic issues.
Nancy takes an individualized approach when working with clients. She believes that a safe and caring therapeutic relationship is central to successful therapy. She combines this with cognitive-behavioral techniques and evidenced-based practices. She believes in promoting personal growth and insight, as well as empowering individuals to challenge themselves and grow. She is mindful of cultural and individual issues which may impact therapy, and she believes in respecting client’s personal beliefs and values.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her two teen-age sons. She likes traveling and learning about new places/cultures. She enjoys watching movies, reading, biking, and hiking.
