DR. ALI HOLLADAY
Dr. Holladay was raised in Virginia Beach, VA and attended James Madison University, receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She completed her Masters of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology in May 2017 with a concentration in Trauma Studies from Chestnut Hill College. Continuing at Chestnut Hill, Dr. Holladay received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) with a concentration in Assessment. She has received clinical training in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, inpatient and outpatient facilities, and state hospitals. During her training, Dr. Holladay has worked with a wide range of clients and presentations such as substance use, sex offenders, serious mental health, personality disorders, and trauma work.
Dr. Holladay provides psychotherapy and psychological assessments. Her approach to therapy is from a psychodynamic prospective, where she aids her clients in gaining insight into family dynamics, past experiences and behaviors, and thought processes to understanding themselves and their world in a deeper way while promoting positive change. Dr. Holladay is passionate in providing services through a trauma lens and tailors her therapeutic approach based on the individual. Dr. Holladay also provides psychological testing for children and adults seeking diagnostic clarification, strengths and areas of growth, and forensic evaluations.
When not working, Dr. Holladay enjoys going to the beach, spending time outside, exercising, and playing with her dog, Dudley. Her perfect day includes drinking iced coffee in the sun with a book, going to Target, watching Dudley chase squirrels, and cooking dinner for family.
Dr. Ali Holladay is a Postdoctoral Psychology Resident with Otto Psychological Associates, LLC
