REBECCA CHANG, M.Ed., LAPC

Rebecca Chang, M.Ed., LAPC, is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who works with individuals, couples, and families. She earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lehigh University, as well as a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychological and Brain Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

 

Rebecca especially enjoys working with clients who may appear to be doing well on the outside but internally struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, pressure, or feeling that they are not quite “good enough.” Her areas of focus include self-worth and self-doubt, relationships and boundaries, and culture and identity.

 

She supports clients who may be hard on themselves, worry about disappointing others, struggle with people-pleasing, or feel uncertain about their needs in relationships. Rebecca is also interested in helping clients explore how family expectations, cultural experiences, identity, and belonging can shape the way they understand themselves and connect with others.

 

Rebecca’s approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. She draws from person-centered, attachment-based, cognitive behavioral, and strengths-based approaches to help clients better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and past experiences. She aims to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, develop greater self-understanding, and build practical tools for meaningful change.

 

Rebecca provides counseling in both English and Mandarin Chinese and welcomes clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and identities. She offers in-person services in Allentown and telehealth services throughout Pennsylvania.

Rebecca Chang, M.Ed., LAPC is an employee of Otto Psychological Associates, LLC. She is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC). LAPC is a credential issued under Act 4 of 2024 for Master's graduates who are completing required supervised clinical experience to become a fully independent Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Rebecca is under the direct clinical supervision of Dr. Michael Otto.
