SARAH FAVA, M.A., LAPC

Sarah Fava (she/her) is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) passionate about guiding clients through finding healing, connection and meaning. She currently offers counseling services to children, adolescents, and young adults. She seeks to support individuals in growing and exploring their identities. Sarah encourages every individual to be the professional in their own life. She works to encourage clients to live their most authentic lives. Sarah encourages clients to increase awareness of how their behaviors communicate their emotional needs.

Sarah was born in Norwich, Connecticut and was raised in both a small town of Voluntown, Connecticut and Wakefield, Rhode Island. She moved to Philadelphia where she attended Saint Joseph’s University and earned her Bachelors in Health Sciences. She later attended New York University where she completed her Masters (MA) in School Counseling. She then continued to Eastern University where she earned her Advanced Certificate in Clinical Counseling. Since 2019, Sarah has worked in a range of mental health settings ranging from homeless case management, substance abuse case management, behavior consultant, and school based mental health counseling. During her professional training, she has worked with many populations including individuals, families, children, adolescence, and adults.

Sarah believes in creating an accepting a supportive environment where clients can move past anxiety and internalized shame to reach a greater understanding of what impacts them. Sarah and her clients work as a team to develop healthy and adaptive coping skills for daily use. Sarah brings compassion and understanding to support clients in their therapy journey.

Outside of the therapy space, Sarah enjoys crafting, spending time with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends. She is an avid Disney fan and strives to find the magic in everyday life. She is a big hockey and rugby fan and enjoys watching the Bruins, Flyers or Team USA games.
